Privacy policy

5 Star Venue, LLC, doing business as 5 Star Venue Method ("we", "us"), runs Venue Tour Tracker at app.5starvenuemethod.com (the "App") for the wedding and event venues we coach and their staff. This policy explains what we collect in the App and how we use it.
What we collect
- Account details: your name, email address and password (passwords are stored encrypted; we can't see them), your role, and the venues you work with.
- Venue information your team enters: tours, bookings, meetings, tour reports, sales targets and similar business records, including the names and contact details of your venue's prospective clients that your team chooses to record.
- Reminder settings: your reminder choices, and if you opt in to text reminders, your mobile number and when you agreed.
- Supply orders: what was ordered, the shipping address and order totals. Card and bank details are entered on Stripe's checkout page and handled by Stripe; we never receive or store them.
- Website visitor counts: if a venue adds our tracking snippet to its website, we count daily visits. We keep no cookies and no personal data from website visitors; a one-way code used to avoid counting the same visitor twice is deleted after three days.
- Welcome screens: logos, photos and videos your team uploads, and the guest names scheduled to appear on your venue's screens.
How we use it
To run the App: show your venue's numbers, send the reminder emails and texts you choose, process supply orders, display welcome screens, and support you as your coach. We don't sell personal information, and we don't use it for advertising.
Text messages
If you opt in, we send you reminder texts about your own to-do list (about 1–2 a day). Reply STOP to stop at any time, or HELP for help. Message and data rates may apply. We do not share your mobile number or your text-message consent with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes.
Who we share it with
Only the service providers that run the App for us, and only as needed: Supabase (database and sign-in), Vercel (hosting), Postmark (email), Twilio (text messages), Stripe (payments and sales tax) and Calendly (if your venue connects it). Within the App, people see only what their role allows: your venue's owner and managers see your venue's records; your coach sees the venues she coaches.
Keeping and deleting information
We keep venue records while your venue uses the App. Ask us to delete your account or your venue's data at any time by emailing theresa@5starvenuemethod.com. Some records (like completed orders) may be kept as long as the law requires.
Security
Access is password-protected, data is encrypted in transit, and each venue's records are walled off from other businesses by database security rules.
